Classes for 5-8 Year olds, FALL 2026 (SATURDAYS)

In Fall 2026, our weekend classes for children ages 5-8 will meet on the following four (4) Saturdays, from 10:30 am - 12:00 pm: September 12, October 3, November 7, and December 5 (4 classes total).

In these classes, students will build confidence in the kitchen while learning the fundamental skills used by cooks and bakers. They will practice knife skills using kid-safe tools, measuring, mixing, culinary and baking techniques, kitchen safety, organization, and teamwork. As they cook, they'll also learn about ingredients, how flavors work together, and the science behind the recipes they create.

One of our primary goals is to help children become adventurous, confident eaters. Through hands-on cooking, students are introduced to a wide variety of fresh ingredients, herbs, spices, grains, fruits, and vegetables, encouraging them to discover new flavors and develop an appreciation for foods they may not have tried before.

At the end of class, students gather around the table to enjoy the foods they've prepared together, before heading home with new skills and recipes to recreate with their families.

Early Childhood Classes: culinary trip around the world (September)

In September, our early childhood classes will meet weekly on Mondays or Tuesdays, from 10-11 am, on the following dates: September 14, 21, 28, and October 5 (Mondays), and September 15, 22, 29, and October 6 (Tuesdays).

We will explore the theme: Culinary Trip Around the World, in which we take a culinary journey around the world to learn about some of the cooking traditions from other countries and cultures. This series is designed to nurture an appreciation for new foods, flavors, cuisines, and cultures, expanding young chefs’ culinary horizons, and more generally, their openness to new foods and experiences.

More generally, our early childhood classes feature multi-sensory exploration, learning, and play. These classes introduce our youngest petit pâtissiers to fresh ingredients and new flavors, as well as kitchen hygiene and safety practices. Together with their chef instructor, students will cook simple recipes that are designed to work on fine motor skills and build confidence in the kitchen, as well as stimulate your child’s curiosity and creativity. At the end of each class, students will enjoy setting the table and sharing the fruits of their labor with friends.

One caregiver must be present for each class.

Classes for 9-12 Year olds, Fall 2026 (SATURDAYS)

In Fall 2026, our classes for 9-12 year olds will meet four times for two hours, from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm, on the following dates: September 19, October 17, November 14, and December 12.

The theme for this session is Host Like a Pro! Some of life's happiest moments happen around the table. Whether it's making brunch for your family, inviting friends over for taco night, helping prepare Thanksgiving dinner, or baking treats to share during the holidays, cooking for others is a wonderful way to show creativity, kindness, and hospitality.

In this four-class series, young chefs will learn how to prepare delicious meals while also discovering what it takes to help host a memorable gathering. Students will practice planning a menu, organizing their workspace, coordinating multiple dishes, setting a welcoming table, and serving food with confidence.
